Two Tip Tuesday #1: Sharing the Respect and Upping Your Child's #LifeSkillsNow Game

In case you missed my new email series:

It's been a minute since I sent you great parenting support via email. This summer, I want to change that.

That's why I'm starting "Two Tip Tuesday," where I'll share one insightful parenting tip and one suggestion for a product, blog, or other resource I know you'll love. I'll keep it short and carefully curated so I don't waste a moment of your time. Let's start!

1. I know you say "I love you" to your child, but do you say, "I respect you"? The next time you start to say I love you, try replacing it with "I respect you." They'll look at you funny, but don't give up. I do this consistently and now my kids say it back. For more details, see a FB post or blog I did on this a while ago. Let me know how it goes!

2. I signed my kids up for a free online "life skills" summer camp and they love it! It's for kids ages 5 to 18 and provides a series of short videos where they learn things like how to clean a room in 5 minutes, how to fold your laundry like Marie Kondo, and how to make a pasta bar for dinner. My older son learned how to start a summer business and how to spot propaganda and logical fallacies in social media. For a small fee (going up on Friday) you can get a full summer of unlimited access, which I did! I also signed up to be an affiliate because it's that awesome. It just takes a second to register here and get the link.

I'd love your feedback on Two Tip Tuesday.

As always, I'm here for you if you need help with your parenting.

❤️ Rachel
